Name of Club/Activity

Builders Club

Overview

The Builders Club is all about building up students to be leaders in their community by serving others. We do a variety of community service projects throughout the year.

Highlights

Some examples of things we have done are going to Morningside Assisted Living and doing a Christmas party with the residents. We always do a school-wide collection for small items for shoeboxes that are wrapped and sent all over the world to children who live in poverty. We have packed bagged lunches for the homeless and we have made treats and walked them over to the fire station on Polo Parkway to thank the firemen for their service.

Time Commitment

We meet once a month on the second Wednesday of the month. If we have to change the meeting for some reason, it will be on the announcements. Most meetings are 2:05-3:00 p.m. but there are a few that may be longer depending on the project. There will also be some opportunities to volunteer outside of school (for example: The Richmond Marathon passing out water).

How to Sign Up

Come to the information meeting on Sept. 14 at 2:05 p.m. in Room 220. If you miss the meeting, there are information forms outside of the door. Fill it out and bring it to the next meeting.
